This classic 1945 movie classic starring Margaret Lockwood and James Mason is set to make its Special Edition DVD premiere. This release includes 15 minutes of cast and crew interviews along with the original theatrical trailer.
Filmed in London at the Gainsborough Studios the film was the most commercially successful of all the Gainsborough melodramas, and arguably the best known. The movie really broke new ground with Margaret Lockwood’s feisty portrayal of Lady Barbara Skelton. The film was considered to be strong stuff and in fact was the very first British film to be cut by Hollywood censors due to Lockwood’s cleavage!
