Film Description

A pairing of Ralph Bakshi's subversive adult cartoons exploring the seamy side of American life, 'Fritz the Cat' and 'Nine Lives of Fritz the Cat'. In the first, promiscuous Fritz escapes the boredom of his domestic life by devoting his nights to finding cheap thrills in the urban underworld of prostitutes, junkies and pimps. In 'Nine Lives...' Fritz is married and now with a kitten to support, so escapes into spliff-induced daydreams of his other eight lives.
