Based on the true story of Joe Valachi who went before a US Investigating Committee and a vast live television audience in 1963 and explained for the first time the inner workings of The Mafia. Charles Bronson, in one of his best performances, plays Joe Valachi, fearing for his life after being given 'the kiss of death' by Genovese and a price on his head that rose from $20,000 to $100,000 after his television appearance.
