Film Description

This third entry in Paul Schrader's 'lonely man' trilogy (after American Gigolo and Light Sleeper) centres on a ladies' escort (Woody Harrelson) in Washington, DC who finds himself in the middle of a scandal when the world of the superficial elite he moves among is shattered by a murder.

Writer/director Schrader's script has some delicious lines, and he says that he picked Washington DC as the setting for his film because of its 'deep hypocrisy'.
