Film Description

A double bill of horror tales based on short stories by Edgar Allan Poe. In The Facts in the Case of Mr Valdemar (George Romero), Jessica Valdemar is hypnotising her older husband to force him to sign his money over to her before he dies. Disaster strikes when he dies during the hypnotism, and finds himself trapped between two realities, acting as a portal for the living dead to enter our world.

The Black Cat (Dario Argento) stars Harvey Keitel as a crime scene photographer with an unhealthy interest in death. When his girlfriend brings home a stray black cat, he is driven to murder, but the cat keeps showing up from beyond the grave.
