Film Description

Features the films THE MATCHMAKER and MICKYBO AND ME, the former of which is set in Ireland, while the latter is set in Northern Ireland.
In THE MATCHMAKER, an acerbic Boston spin doctor (Garofalo) arrives in the rural hamlet of Ballinagra, Ireland in search of local colour to use as fodder in her employer's flagging Senatorial campaign. But what she finds is a rustic nightmare, as her arrival coincides with the town's hectic matchmaking festival. What's more, the local matchmaker has a bet riding on his ability to pair her off with her annoying hotel neighbour, an equally crusty and unwilling novelist.
In MICKYBO AND ME, two boys become friends during the violence of 1970s Belfast and develop a fascination with Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
