The Island of Dr Moreau

Film Description

Edward Douglas (David Thewlis) is shipwrecked and picked up by Montgomery (Val Kilmer). He is taken to an island ruled over by the eccentric Dr Moreau (Marlon Brando), who carries out secret experiments. Unable to leave, Douglas discovers that Moreau has been genetically altering animals to turn them into humans. Original writer-director Richard Stanley was sacked after a couple of days' filming, only to return to the set disguised as an extra!
