The Gay Dog is a comedy set around the professional dog-racing scene. Jim and Maggie Gay own a greyhound, "Raving Beauty" and race him at the local dog-track. When competition comes from a mystery dog that is entered in the big dog race at an out-of-town track, there is far more to the situation than meets the eye. Petula Clark stars as the Gays' daughter, Sally, object of affection between Jim's friend Peter and the son of the local vicar.
