Film Description

Surreal, blackly comic British horror based on a screenplay written by Bruce Dickinson, lead singer of Iron Maiden. Simon Callow gives a larger-than-life performance as Professor Oliver Haddo, a bumbling Cambridge academic who becomes possessed by the spirit of the infamous occultist, Aleister Crowley, after an encounter with a virtual reality machine-cum-supercomputer. Quantum physics, occultism, time travel, conspiracy theories, crucifixion, defecation, sex orgies, Scientology and Freemasonry all feature in the film's fiendish plot.
