Film Description

Bogart won an Oscar for his performance as the hard-drinking, cussing steamer captain Charlie Allnut, who takes on a passenger in the shape of prim and proper Rose Sayer in this comedy/adventure of love and survival in World War I Africa. Good chemistry between the leads makes this a thoroughly entertaining film.
