Terence Stamp is brilliant as the jailbird cockney gangster roaming the streets of LA to avenge his daughter’s death. The editing is extra special as we flick back and forth through time hypnotically, using scenes from Ken Loache’s 1968 film “Poor Cow” to show a younger Stamp. The Hollywood Hills and opulent lifestyles of the rich and shameless look beautiful through Soderbergh’s masterful lens and Stamp’s story is chillingly absorbing. < less
