Film Description

A sequel that betters the original, Batman Returns is one of the high points of Burton's career so far. Steeped in references to silent German cinema, Burton has fun experimenting with the dark style without distracting from the high-octane action and endearingly outrageous plot. Keaton returns as Batman, but he is deliciously out-acted by Pfeiffer, De Vito and Walken.
