Film Description

When students Alex and Patricia discover a dying man in their local underground station, they spark off an investigation that reveals a macabre plot that sends shivers down the spines of hardened police officers Calhoun and Rogers. Prominent people, it seems, have been disappearing from Russell Square tube station. What is its terrible secret? And who, or what, is turning the London Underground into a Death Line?

Christopher Lee, as the MI5 bod, only gets the one scene, but this is fully compensated for by Donald Pleasence acting up a storm as the frankly deranged police inspector. The shocks when they come are gruesome, but it's hard not to feel some pity for the pitiful subterranean inhabitants. Mind the doors.
