Great examples of Newman's character roles include the arrogant and amoral pool champion in The Hustler and the sullen, apathetic prison inmate Cool Hand Luke. His most loved role would be as Butch Cassidy alongside Robert Redford in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
