Films starring Daniel Auteuil
If Depardieu is France's De Niro, then Auteuil must be the French Pacino. The two have often starred opposite each other to electrifying effect, particularly in Jean De Florette, in which the latter embodies the ugly side of human nature in his ruthless portrayal. He is equally impressive in more nuanced roles, such as his repressed businessman in Un Coeur En Hiver, and proved adept at farce in the breezy comedy of The Closet.
